This is my "Portugal-related" page, with pictures and stuff from the places where I have lived, and of course of some friends that are still living there. The first time I moved to Portugal was from Sweden when I was eight years old, and we stayed there three and a half years before moving to Guinea-Bissau, in Western Africa. Anyway, Portugal is very special for me as it is my other home-country, coupled with Finland, and I try to visit the country as often as possible... Oh, by the way, the background image is the logo of the football team I support, Sport Lisboa e BENFICA, o glorioso...

This here is Ricardo Silva, my best mate from Portugal. I have known the guy since I was about one year-old, we all (our families) lived close to each other and spent a lot of time together, like all holidays, and even traveled abroad together. He still lives in Portugal, where he works.

This is Cascais... The beautiful area of Greater Lisbon, some 30km off Central Lisbon, where my family used to live. Even though it is situated so close to a very large city it has some very nice beaches and some beautiful areas like the Westerly most point of Continental Europe, Cabo da Roca, very famous for its surfing, wind-surfing, and of course its natural beauty.

This is the same beach (in the lower right corner of the picture) showing the newly built marina. This place is a very popular tourist area in the summer, even in the winters when the weather is favorable for golfers, as the weather is not unbearable. The picture also shows a bit of the town of Cascais, which mainly consists of bars and restaurants and a few residences. The people that live in Cascais usually live a short bus or car-ride away from the immediate center.
