Markkula
is located near the Southern border of Häme lääni in the municipality
of Loppi in the inner armpit of the Loppijärvi . ROUTE 1 - From Riihimäki From Riihimäki the road to the West takes around 20km to reach Loppi. When turning from the road to the left to go to enter the Loppi town center continue driving straight past the church and continue around 5.4km from the church alongside the northern side of Loppijärvi. Continue until a sign to the left cites JÄRVENTAUSTA. Turn left here and follow this road for 4.2km until you reach a small hilltop before a field, here you will see a row of postboxes and a white street sign sign that states KALLAKSENTIE (last picture) pointing slightly to the left. Drive along Kallaksentie for around 720m. A small strip of road steeply to the left and up leads to a wooden cottage on top of the hill that has the number "72" on the wall, this is Markkula. Should you drive past this road the road will end in about 50m in the front yards of an old manor and a municipal sauna. ROUTE 2
- From Helsinki When coming from Helsinki use the Hämeenlinna highway (road 3 & E12) and turn to road 132 towards Loppi and Klaukkala (see the first picture). The road will lead you to Läyliäinen which you must drive through towards Loppi. After
passing the center of Läyliäinen by a kilometer and after entering the
forest turn left where a sign states HEVOSOJA (see the third picture).
Continue around 6.5 km and you will reach the street sign
KALLAKSENTIE (see the last picture) from where it is 720m until you will
reach Markkula as is described above. Useful Numbers: Markkula
